The rainbow was in the east, and the sunset photo below was taken 3 minutes after, and of course, in the west... :-)

I think it is really neat to compare the two photos... the sky looks so different from one to the other...
Molly, these are beautiful pictures! really good! It is amazing to see what the sky is like in different directions at the same time. I've wanted to take a good photo of a rainbow lately, but haven't seen one...this is a really good picture! It makes me want to see that sky right now! :)
Sadly, I don't think mine compares to Jennifer's and your own rainbow...
