"Delight yourself in the Lord
and He will give you the desires of your heart."
God
blessed me with a precious, long-longed gift last Sunday... Long story
shorter (grin), I have wanted a Bullmastiff puppy for quite a few years,
but knowing how expensive they are, and that they need a lot of care, I
was certain I wouldn't be able to purchase one for many more years down
the road. Until Mama found an ad (this was on Saturday) for a female
6mo old Bullmastiff puppy, FREE to a good
home *jaw drops open* I was shocked. I was even more shocked when
Daddy said "Okay, I'm not saying no." (Which practically means 'yes' ;))
So we corresponded with her current owner, asked a bunch of
questions, then set up a time to meet her. Sunday mid-morning found us
standing on the front porch of Miss Jenny's house, petting and talking
to the sweetest puppy ♥ She was so perfect... sweet, good-natured,
laid-back, intelligent... I mean just *perfect*! My parents said "yes",
and I was in love, so we brought her home ♥ After much contemplation, I
decided to name her 'Mishka', it's an Armenian name, and it means 'gift
of love' which really fit this situation very well... Mishka's current
owners wanted to get rid of her because they lived in the city, and
Mishka needed room to run and play, they loved her to death, but wanted
to do what would be best for her ♥ Mishka is truly a gift of love, from
her previous owners, and from God... He blessed me with the perfect
pup, I couldn't have asked for a better puppy... and she is something I
have wanted for years... God is so good ♥ One more thing, I'm not
positive she is full Bullmastiff... her previous owners only knew what
they were told by Mishka's owner before them. I do plan on doing a DNA
test to see for sure... but even if she isn't full Bullmastiff, I'm
still extremely happy to have her, and I will still keep her - no matter
if she is a mix :) ♥
